Read What Our Students at Columbus Are Saying...
A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.com at Columbus, Ohio LLC.

"Before ComputerTraining.com, my computer background was very minimal. I had been exposed to it in my employment opportunities and in my personal use, but I was nowhere near as skilled as I am today. I knew I had a passion for the industry and I was extremely tired of being at a dead end job. I reached the salary peak for my position and it came to be a depressing feeling thinking that I would be in my current position for the rest of my career. I knew the Information Technology industry is going nowhere but up and with my passion for computers, I knew ComputerTraining.com was the right decision for me. I also really liked the fact that the program is only six months long and then I could be on a new career path.

My new career offers a lot of new opportunities for me. I work for a large company with a lot of growth opportunities. I am pleased to be able to utilize my education and skills that I gained from ComputerTraining.com. I plan to work in this position for a few years and then use it as a stepping stone to my next great opportunity. I would like to stay with my current company and move around into their IT department.

My biggest fears and concerns before entering the program were that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the fast paced course and that I wouldn’t be able to find a good position after graduation. I have a very strong work ethic and with encouragement from my instructor and peers I graduated at the top of my class fully certified. I have also found myself a much better position that I could have ever hoped for.

The advice I would give to the new students entering the program is to get to know your peers in class and work together. A group of us held study groups constantly outside of class and we formed great friendships where we were able to rely on one another and push through the course together. We were really able to learn from one another and contribute to each other’s success. I would also give the advice to stay on top of your studying and to not take a break. I got in the habit of studying and testing and I did not break until I was MCSE Certified. I feel if I would have stopped and took a break, I would have not finished the program fully certified.

The overall experience of ComputerTraining.com has changed my life in many positive ways. I have been able to change careers and have so many new career opportunities. I was also able to gain confidence in myself and feel passionate about what I am doing. I made great friends through the course who I plan to keep in contact with throughout my career."

"I have always been extremely interested in computers, and Information Technology has always come easy to me. I have had a lot of experience just playing around with computers and fixing mine and my friends’. I did receive an Associates Degree from Columbus State Community College in Computer Engineering, but other obstacles in life prevented me from completing my Bachelor’s Degree. I decided to come to ComputerTraining.com because I wanted to continue my education, but I wanted to focus more on Information Technology and the curriculum that ComputerTraining.com offers. I was also getting extremely tired of working at dead-end jobs where I knew no promotion was in sight. I also wanted to do something I was good at and something that I was interested in, and ComputerTraining.com helped me reach this dream.

I really enjoy working in a Tier III Help Desk position for Time Warner Cable. I am able to help people with what I am good at. I really enjoy that the work I am doing is not as physical as previous positions I have held. My new position is more analytical and I am constantly challenging myself mentally, which I enjoy. Overall, I am just more interested and passionate about what I am doing, and I know there is a big future ahead of me in this career.

One of my biggest fears in entering this program is that I wouldn’t be able to put in the amount of time that the course requires. I do work full time and have a social life so the thought of putting in the extra work was tough for me to consider. I adjusted my priorities in life and realized that this is the career I want. I realized that it would only be six months of buckling down. I really surprised myself in that I was able to successfully put in the required amount of time, and I graduated with a good grade. Another one of my fears was the cost of the program. After completing this program, I do feel that the cost is worth it. I have gained so much more knowledge in Information Technology and I am MCSE certified to show for it.

I would tell new students to be prepared for the fast pace of the course. Don’t underestimate the fact that you will have to work hard and be on top of the course material as much as possible. I would let them know not to expect to just show up to class and graduate, you really have to work for it. If you put in the effort that I did, you as well can be fully certified when graduating the program. I would tell new students to take full advantage of the practice tests because they really help. I would also tell them to just play around on computers with the course material because this was the best way that I was able to learn.

ComputerTraining.com has changed my life for the better. I feel my life overall is much better, and I am pleased with my success from the program. I now feel that I am on an exciting career-path that will constantly be moving forward. I am looking forward to see where the path will take me next because I am no longer stuck in a rut."

"When I first started ComputerTraining.com I had virtually no computer experience aside from the basics of navigating the internet and listening to music. I’ve always had a deep passion and desire to learn more about computers I just didn’t know where to start. Certifications are a necessity if you want to make it in the IT industry. I was at a dead end job that did not pay well and I certainly had no desire to continue on the career path that I was on. After a little research, I finally decided it was time for a career change into the networking side of the IT industry. I wanted to enjoy my job. I wanted a great paying career. I wanted to be respected for the job profession I was about to migrate to. I took the first step and decided to enroll at ComputerTraining.com. I had to start somewhere and I am fortunate that I started here!

Now that I have graduated and obtained my MCSE, a lot of doors have opened for me. I have a great network of IT friends and resources and a great wealth of knowledge. I have job offers on a daily basis and companies are competing over me constantly, and it feels wonderful! I am a hardware technician and I really enjoy my job. People depend and rely on me to assist and help solve problems. I am the “go-to girl” now and that is very rewarding to me. I am very glad I made the career change for a million different reasons. I have dreams and goals now and they are being reached. I honestly can say ComputerTraining.com is to thank for that. I utilized every opportunity they have provided me and it certainly has paid off already. It won’t be long before I accomplish my ultimate goal of being a Network Administrator for a respectable company. I have all the confidence in the world in myself and at work!

Before entering ComputerTraining.com I was very nervous, shy and had many doubts and worries. I wasn’t sure if I was truly ready for the commitment that I needed to make. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pass the tests. I was not sure if I was going to be able to grasp all the information that was going to be presented to me. Needless to say I succeeded. It was very hard work and I put in endless hours of studying and conferencing with my peers. I worked through my weaknesses and faced my fears head on. Now I am a whole new woman. I am confident, technically skilled, not shy and most of all not afraid to face my fears. I accept and enjoy all life’s new challenges that have been presented to me. My hard work has truly paid off and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for me. I have completely changed as a person and I like who I am.

I have some very valuable advice I would like to give to anybody who is entering ComputerTraining.com. This course is extremely valuable and difficult. Nothing will be handed to you and it is a must you put in the time and effort required to make it. You must commit to yourself and this program. If you truly put 100% into this class you will succeed. I was somebody who entered this course with virtually no computer experience, but now look how far I have gone in such a short time. If I can do it, you can too. Make friends with your new classmates because they will help you in areas that you may struggle in. The more people you network with, the more beneficial it will be to yourself. These will be the first people you meet in the IT industry and will be of great value and resource to you. Work very hard and take this class very seriously. If you do that everything else will fall into place. “You reap what you sow.” Hopefully you will be reaping the seeds of success!

Ever since my success at ComputerTraining.com I have opened many doors for myself. I enjoy my job and I am steadily meeting my goals. My whole life has taken a turn for the better and it started day one at ComputerTraining.com! Remember, nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. Manage your time wisely and don’t give up when things get tough. Good luck to all of you new students entering the program!"

"I have had a background working with computers a little in the military. Other than that, it was on my own time at home that I was able to explore and learn on computers. I wanted to get certified in the IT field and have a career in something that I enjoyed doing. I have always had a deep interest in computers so I used ComputerTraining.com to help me get the career that I wanted.

I like that my new career gives me the opportunity to learn new things every day. I am also using the knowledge that I learned at ComputerTraining.com in my new position. I found that the more you know in the IT field, the more valuable you are as an employee.

My biggest concern before entering the program was that I didn’t want the curriculum to be too hard or to start off too fast. I overcame it by paying attention to detail and taking my instructor’s advice on how to study.

I would tell new students to take this class very seriously because it will pay off in time. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and can teach you both real world experience and by-the-book knowledge. The overall experience of ComputerTraining.com got me into the career I wanted and has also helped me out financially."

"Before attending ComputerTraining.com, my background with computers was very minimal. I knew almost nothing about computers before attending ComputerTraining.com. I had previously read a few books about computers, but I didn't have any hands-on skills. The two subjects in school that I found myself drawn to were Technology and Math. I had a desire to be someone important in life, and attending ComputerTraining.com was one of the best decisions that I have ever made to help me achieve this desire.

The thing that I like most about my new career is honestly the money. I also greatly appreciate the experiences of learning new things that challenge me. The training from ComputerTraining.com has helped me a great deal in my new Help Desk position. After graduating from the program, I started working at a Help Desk position where I started to put my knowledge and skills to use. This job is the first job that I have really ever liked.

My concern before I started going to ComputerTraining.com was that I knew very little about computers. For me it was like learning a new language, but after time past I started to really understand everything. The thing that I really loved about Computertraining.com was the hands-on training.

Now I have many instances where people ask me how I know so much about computers. I proudly state to them that “it's all because I went to ComputerTraining.com”. The thing that has really helped me the most is that the classes are not that big, and if you don't get something there is always someone there who can help you with your questions.

My experience with computers has changed a lot. Right now I am working in a successful, big company that is paying me very good money, and giving me great experience. Computertraining.com has changed my life to make a better tomorrow for myself. "

"I've been good with computers since I was a child back in the '80s, but when I went to college, I thought I wanted to do something else with my life. Once I graduated from college, I had a lot of trouble finding a job in my chosen profession. After spending ten years bouncing around from one low-paying, short-term job to another, I realized that it was time to get back on track with something I knew I could succeed in. I had good computer skills, but lacked the credentials I'd needed to get my foot in the door for a career in IT.

That's when I found ComputerTraining.com. It didn't take me long to realize that this would be the best opportunity I'd have to turn my career around quickly. Ever since I made the decision to sign up, I haven't regretted it the tiniest bit. The program is challenging, and it was a big investment of time and money, but I didn't look back.

These past six months have been the hardest work I've done in my life, even harder than my four-year degree was. But it's been worth it. I have my MCP and MCSA certifications, and I'm almost finished getting my MCSE. Thanks to my new Microsoft certifications, I was able to find a new job, at nearly double the salary of my last job, before I even finished the course.

The success I've had here has been a real boost to my outlook and my confidence. After a ten-year rut, I had been starting to feel like I would never have a successful career. My self-confidence was in the basement. Now, after achieving high grades in class and passing my certification exams, I'm feeling good about myself again. It's a really nice feeling to go into a job interview and have the interviewer be impressed with what's on your resume. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.

My advice to someone starting the program would be don't look back. This course is the start of a new phase of your life, one filled with opportunities. Throw yourself into it with all the effort you can muster. It's hard work, but it does pay off if you put the effort into it."

"I’ve always been familiar with computers.  I really only knew the basic navigations of the software and hardware components.  I’ve always liked computers and stayed current with the changes throughout the years.  I decided to get certified because Microsoft is the most dominant company within the IT industry.  I decided that I also wanted to land a high paying position in the IT world, and quickly.  I came to the conclusion there simply wasn’t a better way to get started than to get certified in six months at ComputerTraining.com.

With my new Help Desk position, I already earn a lot more than I did at my last position.  This position is only an entry level, and as time progresses, I am confident that I will continue to work up the ladder to reach my ultimate goal of Network Administrator.

Before I started at ComputerTraining.com, I was concerned that I wasn’t going to be able to retain all of the information during the six month course.  It is a lot of information in a short amount of time, but with hard work, persistence and dedication, anything can be achieved.  It took complete determination and time to get my MCSE, but that is the reward for my effort.

I would highly recommend new students to give this course your undivided attention.  This class is difficult, but not impossible.  Manage your time wisely and exhaust all new resources that are available to you.  I suggest finding a few people to study with on a daily basis.  The more people you study with, the more feedback and insight you will gain.  Take this class very seriously and work hard!  If you do that, you will reap the maximum benefits this program has to offer.

This experience has given me an enormous amount of inspiration and motivation to really excel in the IT Industry.  I will continue to advance through the ranks by continuing my certifications, and I’m happy to say it all started here at ComputerTraining.com."

"Before I started class with ComputerTraining.com, I had very limited experience with computers.  I knew my way around Windows XP enough to do most home consumer tasks, email, surf the web and play games.  My enjoyment of playing games and working with spread sheets led me to thinking about a career in working with computers.  As time went on and my son got older, we started building our own computers to make them faster and with better graphics.  I had a very good job in the construction field and was making pretty good money.  I just didn’t like what I was doing.  I had spent the last twenty three years doing a job that I didn’t like.  I was just a way to pay the bills.

The opportunity that ComputerTraining.com gave was just what I was looking for.  Their program would give me the chance to achieve Microsoft certifications with six months, as opposed to the eighteen to twenty four months that some of the local colleges had to offer.  Since I was changing careers, I knew that I needed to be able to move as quickly as possible.  And since ComputerTraining.com also offered placement assistance it was the perfect fit for me.

As the time for my class drew near, I started to become nervous about my decisions to take the class.  My work associates were not supportive and I would hear things like, “You’re too old to start a new career,” or, “You’ll be back.”  Every time I would hear these comments, I would tell myself that I can do anything that I put my mind to.  The fact that I love a good challenge is another thing that I had going for me.  I was determined to succeed in my new career and I wasn’t going to let anyone discourage me from trying.

As the classes progressed, I found that there was a lot of material to go over and I would have to stay focused to keep up with the course. There were times when I questioned whether or not I would be able to keep up. Each time I felt that fear, I would tell myself that it is only six months and I can make whatever changes to my schedule that were needed to allow me to be successful in my studies. After I achieved my first certification, I knew that I could do this and would not stop until I reached my goals. As the classes continued on, I found that I was really starting to understand some of the things that had initially confused me. I found that the more I worked with the labs, the more I gained a solid understanding of the concepts being taught.

Towards the end off my classes, I was approached about doing an internship for ComputerTraining.com, to help set up for classes and work with students that needed help during labs. This really confirmed that I had learned a lot of the material in the previous six months and now I, was able to help other people understand the material as well.

One of the main benefits of going with CornputerTraining.com was the fact that they offer placement assistance. Since I had spent the previous twenty-three years in construction, I had no experience with writing resumes or with professional interviews. I found the instruction they offered very beneficial. They helped me to create a resume that highlighted my past experience and current training. The mock interviews also helped me understand what to expect from a technical interview. So once ComputerTraining.com started to circulate my resume, I felt prepared for the interviews that followed.

I am currently working for a major company on a six month contract with a right to hire clause. I am very excited that the first steps of my new career are behind me now. I am looking forward to the next step up the ladder. My decision to attend class at ComputerTraining.com was the best decision I could have made to start my new career in the IT field. They were very supportive and very concerned about my success with the course and helped me find the correct job to get me started."

"I’ve worked with computers for most of my life, but it was always in a fairly low-level and low-paying position.  I had my A+ certification, but it didn’t seem to be much in demand despite my six years of experience.  I had considered MCSE before but felt it was too far beyond my experience.  Then I heard ComputerTraining.com’s ads on the radio and decided enough was enough.  I signed up for the class after taking the Online Skills Challenge and informed my boss that in six months, I would be doing something new whether it be for him or someone else!

Before starting this class, most of my experience had been with workstations and peer-to-peer networks.  Server-based networks were a change and there was a lot of new material I hadn’t anticipated going into the class.  My biggest concern was losing momentum.  I’m really good at starting something, but I sometimes lose interest as I move forward.  With ComputerTraining.com’s classes this was never an issue because things kept moving and challenging me.  I was learning something new every day.  The class never became routine.  Before I realized it, I had completed the course and I became certified.  It was time to go back to my boss and make good on the promise I had made!

I have never looked back.  My new position is fun, challenging, and rewarding.  The knowledge and skills I picked up at ComputerTraining.com are useful every day.  I’m amazed at how much of it I use!

The best advice I can offer new students is to do all of your homework on time to keep you from falling behind.  The class moves at a fast pace!  Take your exams while the material is fresh to you and use the practice exams to further polish your knowledge and skills, they give you a great idea of what to expect!"

"I taught my self many of the break / fix and software skills that are commonly used in a Desktop Support environment. My previous job as a warehouse supervisor allowed me to exercise these for the sales department, but I knew I’d need more skills and some certifications to get a real job in the IT field.

For the second time in my life, I found myself ENJOYING the job I’m paid to do. I eat this stuff up and look forward to each and every workday. Thank you to Career Services for working with me so diligently in getting me into my current position!

I had no fears going into the program. My Director of Placement explained everything clearly and answered all questions. My biggest surprise was seeing how much I still had to learn! The networking aspect is heavily relied upon in the real world and your training prepared me for that.

Thank you for everything!"
